[R-390] NOS R-390A went for $2502.00 on the Eplace - wow

I watched the end of the auction with interest - a lot of action in the last 
few seconds. Congratulations to the winner! The pics of the inside of the 
radio looked brand new. A fair market value I believe if it is indeed a like-new 
radio.  I am sure the seller is happy. I remember seeing the ads for the new 
ones from the factory back in the 60's . I think the price back then was $1200? 
Counting inflation in todays dollars would that be equal to about $12,000 or
