Kleronomos Real Audio Mod: This is a major (non-reversible) mod that is

Don't forget the addendum to the original article, read it before you
proceed. 

I have done the "diode load" scheme with and old Grommes open frame
audio amp with a pair of push/pull 6V6's into an old organ speaker. Talk
about great AM audio! But, the downside it's not a self-contained unit.
That may or may not be a concern for some... Anyway, either way is
better sounding audio in my opinion.
