Many years ago, conventional wisdom said the last R-390A's produced were on
the 1967 EAC contract. In March, 1995 I broke the news about the 1984 Fowler
Industries contract.
Another "source" said that Collins only produced 525 R-390A's. That
myth/legend was proven to be so much bs too.

Since then, several other small contracts have surfaced.

Way before that, conventional wisdom said the Hammarlund SP-600-JX-26 was
the last of the Super-Pro series. Once again, having a SP-600-JLX-27 sitting on
my bench, I thought, that can't be true. Another quest, another myth/legend
destroyed. The last suffix number in that line was a JX-39.

Damn, this stuff is getting old, do I have to uncover the Black Faced R-390A
info for you guys too?

Not to worry, It will be revealed in due time. My trusty sidekicks Tom
Marcotte and Wally Chambers will have to once again wade into the fray and destroy
the naysayers!
