[R-390] RE: R 648 and Sweat

Hi Everyone,
    I received several inquiries as to what an R 648 is so I thought I'd 
elaborate.
The R648 is sometimes called the airborne version of the R390, though its
a much different radio, it does sport the odometer frequency readout
and has a pair of mechanical filters, one 6kc and the other 1.5kc. Its about
the size of the BC 348. Mine have both been coverted to AC power, originally
they have a 26 volt dynamotor in them. Sorry for initiating the off topic
sweat shop post, a window air conditioner would be nice out there, but
first I'd have to build a window :))))).
