Cecil,

You just had to post this didn't you. Just thinking about the freight
costs to Boston scare me, but the packrat in me has to ask.... what kind of
money are we talking here. I picked up a couple of R-1051's recently and
have them both running. (Band cruising was to easy on the R390 series and
I needed something more challenging.) For some strange reason I now have
an interest in these beasts. The R-1051 list seems all but dead. I have
access to a few more radios in unknown working condition but the thoughts
of trying to fix them without extenders, or service manuals for that
matter, was a bit daring and somehow common sense took over. It is just
like me to have an interest in a radio series that most others have passed
by.

Please reply with a price that is much to high for me to even consider
taking on this project.

Also have around a dozen R-1051's and various modules, extender cables,
components, misc bits and manuals that may be offered only as a package
deal
to someone looking to branch out into the repair of those radios....
I've decided to close up shop....not enough interest shown to justify
keeping it going...
