[R-390] Fire Sale at Les'

        Everyone has a different way of expressing their opinions...some
more directly than others...but Phil the last two from you were....(checking
my file).. a little out of character!

OUCH!

(remember I'm adding a little piece to each members perceived character file
through the off and on topic posts we receive...kind of a way of me getting
to know everyone a little better and what to expect on this
ride.............earlier post...you'd a had to been there)

I don't know if this is just a bad day for you or maybe the aliens have
hijacked another list members account and decided to have some fun......

Humm... maybe the aliens have hijacked a real list member and forced him to
go on an out of character flame fest on select list members........No
matter!

In any event I think most will agree the prices being asked are a little out
of the ordinary...no matter who has "Tweaked" them most recently. (Lon or
"Dario" may be personal friends of yours...who knows)

It's the typical "Collins Syndrome" that has caused the prices on most of
that gear to be untouchable by most....but I guess that adds to the
exclusiveness of the club.  I am glad the R-390X series have been spoiled
for typical Collins collecting crowd by being "Depot Dawgs" as we call
them...that's probably what has kept the prices on what most consider a
superior performing piece of gear designed by Collins in the reasonable
realm. (no matter whose modules are in it!)

I'm planning to build an R-725 out of one of my standard R-390A receivers as
soon as I get all the parts together....should be a good combination...

Hum...won't be a Mans radio....or a boy's radio....what do we call the 725?

Anyway.....

It's certainly anyone's right to ask anything they want for what they
own....in the end the market will usually set the price anyway...except for
those privileged few that are willing to pay well above market for the
things they wish to possess.

I think that's what this fisherman is fishing for....

I do hate the threats of "Going To Epay" though...not sure how many sales
that really stimulates from list members....
