"POST or PERISH" Kinda like "USE IT or LOSE IT"
Lots of truth in those quotes!!
I too had hoped for some more voices from the past, but remember, it's July
and lots of people are on vacation or unsubscribe in the summer months.
I think the ballast tube thread had the desired effect and I privately heard
from many who didn't post to the group..............that is a shame I think.
Yes, I/we get silly at times and many of us have a wicked sense of humor,
maybe leaning to the macabe at times. But, we continue to give out technical
advice, suggestions, tips and great shortcuts on various topics, not always
related to the R-390 series.
Hey, if I couldn't get a bit goofy at times, I might go crazy!

Hi
But that would involve learning how to type. Do you realize just how
many hours it takes to learn how to type?
In addition I would have to figure out just how to switch over to the
correct sending address, and on OS-X no less.
It would take enormous amounts of time away from my other far more
important work like watching TV and yelling at the dog.
But I design high performance solid state RF circuits for a living and
all the vacuum tubes scare me. You guys might call me a witch.
Besides Les and I are both in the messages to be reviewed and posted
three days later jail .....
I really do wish we got at least a few posts from a few more of the
guys from the good old days. I do think it's a shame we have driven so
many people off the list over the years. It's a fine balance between
keeping people and having the list die. We seem to go from one to the
other every few months.
Post now and post often is the only solution. Even if it's only to add
to the excuse list. I have yet to see any post on the list that did not
add to the process (positive *or* negative) in some way. The only thing
that takes away from the list is a lack of participation. Even solid
state threads seem to get a reasonable amount of respect these days.
Like it or not this is a chat room, so let's chat !!!
Enjoy!
