[R-390] RANT: The Delete Key and Unwanted Threads

Here we go again....just when the list picks up from being almost totally
brain dead, another complaint about OUR list. Some of the members may
remember when this happened last time. We lost everybody and all humor.
Hell, everybody left in disgust. I stubbornly remained on the dead list,
mostly out of sadness to see the end of it. We sure had a great list going
for a few years too. I admit to being somewhat surprised that the traffic
has picked up again. Nothing like a dead horse riding into town to stir up a
good, old ruckus.

Listen folks, I don't care if our traditional kind of humor rubs people the
wrong way. This has been our list for a long time and a couple of people are
going to have to rough it out like men or find somewhere else to lurk for
pouncing on everybody's fun. Go find another list and criticize them. Don't
take the time to learn the way of the list or give a bit of respect to those
who have made this list work all these years. Just prance right in and bitch
about things.

For those who joined since the near castration of this list,  one complainer
started moaning about off topic humor. He got a couple of new buddies to
jump in too. Guess what...the old timers and vast knowledge base got the
hell out of town fast. The list collapsed. What happened to the complainers?
They didn't post a damned thing and they left too, right after they pissed
on the fun. The rest of us were left with bitter feelings about our list
disappearing overnight.

Yep, this list gets off topic, way off topic. But, it gets on topic too. Way
on topic at times. You just have to take it with everything else if you plan
to stick around for what is offered.
