[R-390] FS: R-390a covers

Hello list members,

I recently acquired an EAC R-390a including a cabinet and the two original covers. I don't anticipate ever needing the covers so if anyone is interested in buying them, please contact me off list: spencex43@earthlink.net

This is the same type of receiver I used in Phubai, Vietnam circa 1967. Then I had two of them, one for each ear, as I was a morse intercept operator in the Marines. Iwas stationed on an Army base working with other Marines and Naval Security Group personnel.

While I was there, I was also a MARS operator for a while, but for the life of me I couldn't tell you what kind of equipment we were using. However, it was certainly satisfying being able to phone patch military folk with their loved ones back home--except on the rare occasion when the reception from the "sweetheart" back home was chilly.

Anyway, the R-390a--which was restored by Phil Atchley--is a nice addition to my shack. I just hope I don't get a hernia when I have to move it!
