[R-390] Cover plates

Just got my first R-390 (at Dayton) and wonder if there is supposed to be
covers over the RF deck section (I think). The middle right hand section.
There are no top or bottom plates (I know they are available from Fair) and
there are no covers on any section as viewed from the top.

If there are supposed to be covers, how important is it to have them and is
there a source for them?
