Nice plane, too! I talked with a fellow some years back who flew them in 
Viet Nam and possibly later (or earlier?) for the CIA? He said they had 
to be taken from service and retro-fitted at one point because the wings 
were ripping off in dives. Something along those lines. I've seen 
updated models with the wingtip tanks and larger props. Looks like a Sky 
King on steroids!

There is a *beautiful* A-26 for sale out in Rockford, IL right now (or 
was). Just under $500K. I saw it before the restoration and could've 
bought it for $45K. If only! That was a lot of money to me in 1996.

Nice to see some old 'heavy metal' still being used. These birds 
remained in active service for an extended time much like the R-390(*)s 
did!
