[R-390] Not R-725 on ebay

Tom, I didn't email him and ask, but from his website it can be interpreted
that he put the 390 IF deck in himself after he got the set - especially since
his says the Motorola 390a IF chassis is the original. Did you ask him? By the
way, I'm thinking of applying the 390a ER agc mod, that takes the screen
suppressor connections out of the picture, to the 390 IF chassis I have in the
390a. There's an additional combination of this mod and the diode connections
of the Lankford mod (that I currently have in the set) that I became aware of
in communication with Ron Deeter. As far as I can tell the 390a and 390 agc
circuits are nearly the same except for the cathode follower and last i.f.
suppressor connection in the 390a. So what works for the 390a should work for
the 390 agc ??? Dan
