As a child, I learned from my father and grandfather - it was definitely
"akumpucky" ) or, in phoenetics, "ak-kum-puck-y"  Also, in grammar school,
a teacher used the same pronounciation.  Plumbers applied it to pipe
joints, electricians applied it to solder joints, and it could be used to
repair househould items - a very versatile item.  Wonder if akumpucky and
uckumpucky are two distinct and different substances?  Can these substances
be used interchangeably?
