[R-390] List activity. (was trim red dot)

Greetings Barry and Group,

I agree with some of the off topic wanderings...especially things like
the SP-600...I also subscribe to the Hammarlund list but it seems most of
the SP-600s are in the hands of folks who also own R-390X 's (that's all
inclusive not a new variant) so the vast knowledge resides here as well. I
think exposing the R-390X owner to discussion on fine radio's like the
SP-600 will further promote the long term existence of that radio because
more interest will be generated.

Maybe what we need is a Premium Vacuum Tube RX list where discussion of
SP-600's, R390X's, EK-07's (hope to own one of those one day) and the like
would all be on topic discussions. Similar to the Sand Box crowds list.

Just a thought...if we feel a need to constantly justify the off topic
stuff....( I know Flames probably on the way....but no harm intended!)

What I don't enjoy is checking the computer several times a day only to find
a couple of posts total and that's it. This list more than any other I
subscribe to has become a big part of my day. (I know, I heard someone in
the back say "Get a Life") Something I look forward to as a diversion from
the other things such as work, raising kids and family illness.( See I got
one!) When it is dead or "goes underground" it looses purpose. Life's too
short! (I'm learning) Lets make the best of it...whatever it takes!

Cecil....
