Gracias Miguel:

Good points! We've covered just about everything -- maybe that's the reason
some are hesitant to post replies. I get the feeling that many questions
are answered off the list, which only detracts from it.

The archives are difficult to search. Very often, the subject lines do not
agree with the content and the search engine brings up all sorts of
things -- everything but what you are looking for.

I suspect the best compromise, to allow for a flow of posts without
re-hashing every detail -- is to make us of Wei-Li's "Pearls of Wisdom". He
has made the (excellent) effort to organize the posts on Al Tirevold's site.
The URL is http://www.r-390a.net/Pearls/

There are other multi-linqual list members, (I can think of two right away)
so even if you find something there which is not completely understandable,
you can ask for a translation or (at your own risk) run it through one of
those online translating web sites. They are far from perfect, especially
with technical language and slang/colloquial things. But, sometimes they
help a bit. At least they are good for a laugh.

This is NOT to say don't ask. In many cases, the archives, whether in the
"pearls" or not -- do not have the last, final words on a subject. And --
if no one ever asks about old subjects -- there may be nothing more to post
about at all.

Heck -- we even started an "unabridged" list where every topic is OK, but
that list has been quiet also. How do you say "ukkumpucky" in Spanish? ;-)

Saludos
Barry
