[R-390] antenna trim red dot

James,

on the R-390 and R-391, the red dot should be pointing straight up (12
o'clock) with the antenna trim control set to 0. If I go "in" to a radio I
usually freshen the dot with a dab of Testors model paint to make it more
visible.

I saw another post stating different, but that procedure is for the R-390A
which has a totally different mechanical connection to the antenna trimmer
cap.

I have a r390, non A. There is a red dot on the shaft that is part of the
antenna trim capacitor. Where should the red dot be when aligning the radio?
