[R-390] New Owners, and Old

Friends,  

Am enjoying the postings from new owners very much..It
is most pleasant that so many are interested. I guess
it will prove necessary for me to obtain a 392 in the
future, (if I live long enough..)

Again, I am pleased that a few were sucessful with SSB
tuning on their BA's...

I got my 390 non a back from Dave Medley today and
will return it to its' place of honor, right above the
SP 600 in my rack, and then,.....who knows..But I
assure you I will follow the hams, inc. the AMers..and
some contests and some nets..(I know..I should get a
ticket...but...I LOVE listening, (..so you never know
when I might be listening in....!))

Still helping the kids down the block with  mil. and
astro pratice, which they are much better at now than
me..(They now own my NRD 515, and have outboards on
it...). The older is planning a science project for
nxt year of building and using a small radio
telescope..Hope it comes off O.K. He is super-sharp,
but I wonder if he really knows what he is
attempting...

will explain the repair on my 390 sometime in the
future, perhaps, if O.K. with Dave...
