I've worked on a unit that had that modification done. The unit I worked on
had problems with the relay that must be added to the IF deck to make this
thing work properly. There are several versions of the Capt. Lee mod, so
look for the later ones if you plan to do it. It certainly falls into the
category of not-easily-reversible modifications, which I tend to avoid.
