[r-390] R-389

Guys,
I have an r-389 here for repair and I need some help. Is there anyone out there experienced with the mechanical adjustment of this radio. It is very complex when compared even to an r-381. The racks are driven by lead screws rather than cams!! The electronics are very similar to the r-390 and I have the radio playing nicely but the tuning system is not up to par.
