[R-390] Suggested Test Equipment for R-390A Alignment ??

The URM-25 and other generators like it are really FB, and I have a URM-25
on my bench, but the fact is that you can align an R-390 or '390A very
adequately with an old Eico or Heathkit signal generator too. Other
companies made these low cost instruments too, and they're all adequate for
an acceptable job on R-390 Series receivers.

Well, Terry,
Call me old-fashioned if you will, but I can't recommend anything
better than the AN/URM-25. I own a 1960's vintage RCA WR-50B sig
generator, and a General Instrument 1310...........
