We had a B-17 appear here at the Manassas, VA, airport. Lots of fun to look
around in...particularly the BC-348 and the Command hardware...

Greetings Group,
That same day I was returning from New Orleans after taking my wife
to a Dental appointment and watched a B-17 and a B-25 or 26...can't
remember....whatever the Mitchell was....26 I think....Making an approach to
Lake Front Airport.
Must have been some Confederate Air Force activity in the coastal
area....that's a lot of rare WWII hardware to be spotted in one day!
I rolled the windows down but could not hear the 4 radials churning
(B-17)...too much road noise....Huge airplane though...probably could haul
quite a few 390's.....
