I bought two SJC's (Blue Stripers) from a junk yard here in Pennsylvania a
while back for $100 each hoping to make one good one from them and ended up
with both working for very little effort. Some Ham friends went along with
me and between us we bought 6 or 8 of them that day and to the best of my
knowledge, all of them are now working.
I didn't mind the elbow grease for that kind of money and value, not to
mention the fun and education.
