First comment--this says WORLDS about how well the commo gear will survive
an EMP event (sigh).

WARNING: The following is a RANT. Read at your own risk.

Phil: How many "radio men" (or women) are there left, really?  Considering
the overall technical level of our schools (many busy raising self-esteem
instead of teaching reading, writing, 'rithmetic, because the "experts" in
the NEA tell them that that's "progressive"), the radio hobby (dumbed down
because of the schools), etc., etc.
