Actually, I had JKF's SX-62A. I trashed it for parts to make a 3 tube,
band switching, SWL regenerative receiver with built in dial lites.
By the time I got it finally oscillating I found out what a treasure it
was........
I tried to put it back together but when I tried to weld the four pieces
of the chassis back together they warped.
Then there was the glass plate. I just couldn't get it looking as good as
it originally was. The glass cutter I used was dull and some pieces broke
off jagged and had to be pitched.
At least the cabinet is OK it is painted like a Collins S-Line cabinet and
has a MINT Collins 75S-1 in a rackmount adapter mounted in it.
I guess I'll have to put a note in the cabinet to let everyone know that
this was JFK's SX-62A cabinet from AF-1.
I wonder what I can get for it on E-Pay?????????????
