I worked in a Navy repair depot back in the late '60s-early '70s, school
years on 2nd shift.  The radios were stripped for repair. The main deal was
to get the rebuilt radio back to the ship based on the tag's serial number.
It may or may not have been the same radio, odds are the modules were
different. I worked R390/R390A, ARC-27, Aero1A, AWG-10.
