Hi 'Team R390':
I recently acquired 4 line level meters I don't need and am offering them
to this group first, hopefully to those truely lacking one. These appear
identical to the original one on my R390A in size, scale markings, and
sensitivity.
These are 1-3/4" square size and nominal Vu meter sensitivity (0 dB=1 mW @
600 ohm). They all work and have the correct scale markings and read within
a couple dB of each other. I would imagine the difference is due to
resistor and diode aging internal in the meters. If you want absolute
accuracy, you might adjust the resistor values around the S105 line meter
switch circuitry.
These meters are pulls from equipment and in good condition. The meter
bezels are clean, flat black without any heavy scratches and no broken
glass. The rubber around the rear terminals is hard and a couple show
cracking. Probably not a true sealed meter anymore. These are NOT the
radioactive 'glow in the dark' kind. The front labeling shows these as
International brand, model 163, MIL type MR13W128SPECR and 'ruggedized'.
Manufacture codes on their backs show late '60 and early '61 dates. See
attached files for a scan of the actual meter faces. Four black mounting
screws and nuts and the rubber gasket will be included with each. Solder
lugs are attached to the back posts.
Asking $75 each which includes USPS priority mailing with insurance to US
addresses. If the response for these exceeds the supply, I will throw all
responses received over several days into a hat and pull names, giving
everyone an equal opportunity for ONE. I prefer a postal money order from
folks I don't know.

73s, and a happy thanksgiving to all!

pete, KH6GRT
