Good points made, Todd -
This way you can select the boxes and material yourself and know precisely what
you're getting. I used this approach a few years back when purchasing some nice Clegg
VHF gear from a fellow in Minnesota. Great price, but he just wasn't all that
motivated to pack the rigs, muchless properly. After a month I built boxes with
styrafoam protection and sent them out to him, and had the gear within two weeks. All
three pieces arrived in excellent shape, with a few scuffs and tears on the boxes.
Another thing that works well is placing a piece of inch plywood in the bottom for
extra support. This adds to the overall weight a bit, but really adds to the rigidity
as well, stiffens up the entire mix nicely. The goal of course is the get your prized
radio from point A to point B in the same condition, cutting corners or overlooking
the obvious merely invites disaster.

come up with a numbering scheme like the Barrys use?)
