Well, I didn't use the R-390(*) but I did acquire 9 hours of data on 83.25
MHz (picture carrier for TV Channel 6 in Richmond, VA) with a whole lot of
quite interesting events, orders of magnitude above the sporadic rates.
Visually was quite interesting, too, but Full Moon and proximity of the DC
area (sky glow) plus impending dawn detracted. Still, the clearest
demonstration of the"radian" idea that I've ever seen and the first time I
ever saw one headed right toward me (no trail, just a circular bloom).
Worth getting the out chaise lounge and bundling up for.
No to get back on topic, anybody got an extra 8 KHz mechanical filter for an
"A"?
