Paul,
I went outside, briefly (Brrrrr), to watch the shower, but there is too much
light pollution here in suburban NYC to see much.
Then I listened around 144.180 Mhz. and heard several burst transmissions
from stations working M/S.
The current vogue for meteor scatter work is WSJT. A computer generated
tone set sent to the XMTR via the sound card. Receive audio is passed to
the computer, via the sound card and the program sorts things out.
Due to lack of foresight I was not set for this and Oh dark thirty is not a
good time to start hooking things up and loading software.
I am not aware of any M/S affect on HF propagation.
