[R-390] Photos of Preproduction R-390

I have put together a file of photos of this R390.  If you are =
interested, please send me your e-mail address and I will send you a =
set.
One surprise was when I removed the Serial Number tag- I found where =
someone had scratched "R390#11" in the paint.=20
Apparently no mods have been performed on this radio.

I believe the orange-stenciled notice on the side of the radio reads as =
follows: "This equipment was tested as a preproductiuon sample by the =
Signal Corps Engineering Laboratories.  It is to be retained intact =
without alteration or improvement of any kind for use by the Signal =
Corps Inspector ??  ?? by him."

I have had to guess at some of the words are a couple are completely =
unreadable.

I invite your comments concerning this radio.
