I think that is a good console to keep. I gave mine to a kid in the
neighborhood when I lived in Germany.

I've thought about getting another 8 bit system because of the input/output
joystick ports. You could control anything thru the joystick ports. I sold a
stack of programming books when I got out of the 8 bit computer thing. That
stack was probably 3-5 feet high of good books. I keep thinking about
timers, timed recording, etc. The 6502 was so easy to program and having the
input/output port made it pretty much unlimited for controlling things in a
house. It would be easy to control lights in the house when we are away on
trips if I still have one of those little computers. Those computers were so
small you could hang them just about anywhere and they didn't take much
power to run.

I was listening to Atlantic flight following last night on 8.732 USB. Very
powerful Spanish chatter came on and completely wiped out the flight
following. All flight following comms stopped. I guess they changed
frequencies. I couldn't hear them well under the chatter so this is just a
guess.
