Yup. Just like the notorious GM 2.8L V6 engine that
always threw out the bottom end. These things were
made by the zillions for Citations, S-10's, etc., and
they deliberately had very loose tolerances for the
bearing clearances so that, even if they didn't last
that long, at least they would ALWAYS fit together.
In this case you ignore the "factory" spec and put it
together with tighter clearances if you want it to last.
It actually is a very nice little engine once you blueprint
it, and it will last a very long time indeed.
