When reading stuff from guys named "Barry" you have to read between the
lines -- and between the words and sometimes in between the letters in the
words.  To wit*, the double negative, "You don't need no non-A", which,
properly interpreted, means that the lack of a non-A is problematical, or
perhaps outright undesireable.

* Could "twit" be a deriviation or contraction of "To wit", as in the
expression:
"twit ... Hammarlund"?  Maybe Tom L. knows.
