[R-390] 4 KHz Mechanical Filter

Pete,

That filter may be repairable.  This has been mentioned in previous 
conversations on this list.  You might check the mail archives at r-390a.net 
or perhaps the "Pearls of Wisdom" section.  Basically the procedure consists 
of melting the solder seal and opening the can to reconnect transducer 
leads.  Also mentioned not long ago was the introducion of aftermarket 
filters specifically for the R-390a.
