The most delicious thing about the transmitters of the 50's is the feeling
you have when you tune them up for the first few times.  On the one hand
you
have a feeling you are messing with a bomb ready to detonate at the first
mistake made in the tune-up, on the other is the exhilaration you feel when

you key it on the air for the first time and watch as the needle on rf watt

meter climbs to 200, 300, 400, 1000 watts. What a tingly feeling!

That tingly feeling is caused by RF in the shack.
A Kilo watt of that will excite any living thing.
