hands down the best way of storing documents is by vacuum sealing them
into storage bags.  go to http://www.foodsaverforless.com/ for an
example of what I mean.  Once a TM, Op Manual, or magazine is sealed into 
one of these vacuum sealed bag they are absolutely water proof.
If I am not mistaken doesn't the Manual have a section on how to package and 
store such equipment.
