Just use diodes and be done with it. Unless your rig is
Concours, it's like trying to find bias belted G-78/15 tires
for your 1967 Corvette. They cost more, are harder to
find, and deliver lower performance, mileage and safety
than modern radial tires. What's next...paint whitewall
rings on those tubes when you find them? When my
26Z5W's die they are replaced with diodes. You see,
the R-390A does have a selenium rectifier in it "stock",
thus they are technically a hybrid anyway, so a couple
diodes here and there doesn't matter. It's still the
second best receiver ever made even with the diodes.
