Don't you think a more rational and practical approach than getting some 
weird inventor type to make tubes for our radios would be to get the Russians 
to do it ?
After all, they already have the factory and the expertise to do it. And they 
desperately need hard currency which we got out the wazoo. 
Why don't you ask the Russians to make 26Z5W's ?
And think of the poetic justice of that scenario. The R-390's were made to 
use in our defense against the old Soviet Union. If you can convince them to 
make tubes for us then we know we were suscessfull in the cold war.
