[R-390] METERS What To Do?

Hello, 
I have been removing the knobs, counter cover and meter covers on my 390 for 
a redo. I'm looking at those meters and thinking that I want to open them up 
and give the glass a good cleaning. They work now. I would like them to be 
that way after I take them apart!
Should I leave 'em be or is it an easy process to break whatever seal there 
is to get them apart?
 
I would imagine that the face markings would not make it thru any type of 
liquid cleaning. Correct?
