[R-390] Tubes

  I wonder if there is a book that will teach me enough about tubes to
understand them a little better. I have recently been buying tubes
on line and some of the descriptions are too much for me to understand.
Such as " getters" and stuff like that. There are several different styles
of 5814a's. One auction has 3 different types in it.
  I'm sure there is something in the on line manual but... I am using a
dial up modem and can't keep the phone tied up for a long period of time.
  I also want the book as a reference to use as I have this box of almost
150 tubes and want to throw out the TV tubes if there are any.
