When someone says 390, they might mean the orignal 390, the 390A, or
a non-specific either or both. (as in "the R-390 is a great receiver").
[and don't let's start a food fight here over the 390-nonA being
better than the 390A -this is just an grammer example :) ]

When someone says 390-non A, you know exactly which rx is being
referred to.
