[R-390] VIRUS !?!?

Email viruses (virii?) seem to come in separate (by indeterminate
timeframes) 'waves' of virus-laden emails... this past week having been yet
another round. While there's been only ONE Norton AV Virus Definition
update this week, I've seen weeks where there was one per day (and a one
day record of 2!) Although that is only an indicator of 'new' virus
configurations, and not necessarily proof of higher activity. Norton AV
detected 5 or 6 virus-laden emails yesterday alone (or more-I stopped
counting somewhere in there). I have personally taken to running a complete
HDD virus-scan at least once daily.
P.S. Number 1 son Rusty has taken to a 100% LINUX environment... but
personally, I cannot: 1) FrontPage 2002 for my website; 2) Photoshop 6; and
3) the entire ULEAD series of Graphics-related programs; and 4) EUDORA...
plus others I have not thought of.
