The R-390A is a nice radio at an 8 or 16kc. bandwidth. For serious radio
work at 2.1 to 250kc. B/W the Collins 75S-3B is a great receiver. For
really digging them out of the crud, a TenTec OMNI-VI+ with cascaded 250kc
filters and DSP just can't be beat.
