[R-1051] Six pack attack

I worked on the URT-23 also. One heck of an amplifier that can happily do
RTTY 100% forever.
What I do not recall are the mains. I thought ours were 220 3 phase. I see
Ray says its single phase thats a rare find I believe.
Buttttt and there is always a but. The amplifier chain is 2 X RCA 8122s
feeding 2 X 4CX1500.
All if they can be obtained are expensive if there is an issue. Not sure
the 8122s can be obtained.
With respect to the fans I hated the 400 Hz whiners. During GQ I was
stationed in the transmitter room do you know how hard it is to sleep on
shredded crypto bags with that noise.
So with that all said it depends on the price/gamble.
Must be 15 years ago or more Fair radio had them for $1500. By the time I
called they were gone and I called pretty quickly. So much for having one.
But how on earth would I have ever dealt with 3 phase? I know there are
ways with motors and such. Just an entirely nasty solution.
