[R-1051] R-1051G manual on line

Don’t know why but have seen way more RF-2368/RF-590 family of radios then the RF-550, just personal preferences but think the RF-590 is a way better looking radio. Just like the later series R-1051G or H compared to the A and B series.
Let's not waste time discussing performance or technical advantages but go right to the important part, looks! But have to also say that in my mind the ugliest, biggest and heaviest radios still looks better than any of the stupid little SDR receivers that I have seen.

Hi

The RF-550 was a proposed replacement before the 590. The 590 came along when the RFP was expanded to include replacing the R-390.

Most of the replacement radios for the 1051 had the same basic design limits. You punch in a frequency and let it sit. Band cruising was not a required feature.
