[R-1051] R-1051 IF alignment - advice?

The one useful test that I found on the 1051 is to remove the turret assembly and have an adapter to inject 500 KHz IF at that point ahead of the mode selector assembly. Don't remember the exact numbers but the receiver will be sensitive down into the microvolt level and that confirms the proper working of the mode selector, IF assemblies and master oscillator and divides all problems between the transverse or turret synthesizer and the rest of the radio. If I were still working on those things this would be my procedure, first check the 28volt and 20 volt regulated power supplies, the 110 volt B+ and then do the IF injection test and check all the modes. Then get ready to slog it out with the six packs. Have you built the adapter plug for running the radio out of the case yet? Or gotten any test leads caught up in the chains?
