[R-1051] More on R-1051D RF Gain control

Bear with me, folks, I'm still learning about R-1051 mysteries.
Should I conclude that not all modules are swappable between B and D model
R-1051?
Is there a master list showing what modules can be used in which model
equipment?

I'm still tracking down why I have no manual gain control on this D model.
For both the B and the D models, the manuals show the IF/AUDIO modules (A2
& A3) connecting to the RF gain control via pin 21.
On the B model, the RF gain varies pin 21 from 0 to 5 v.
On the D model, the RF gain varies pin 21 from 0.6-3 v.

The circuits for the AGC time constant switch input (pin 15) on the two are
different as well.
