[R-1051] WTB: Megacycle Synthesizer

Hi Dave,

Yeah, that's the one.  I disassembled the module, the motor wouldn't run 
at all.  The Navships 0967-034-2000 file had pretty detailed 
instructions for tear down.  I pulled the gearhead apart.  It's three 
layers of planetary gears.  There was just a bit of waxy residue. 
Cleaning the thing with lacquer thinner, and lubing with light 
instrument oil got it running.  I'm currently held up by not having a 
proper 0.035" Allen wrench to reinstall the bevel gear.

So I have a chance to rethink the lube.  What do you recommend?

Mine was not working so I took it out of the frame cleaned and replaced the grease in the gear box.  I also cleaned the brushes while I had the motor out. It now works.  To make the reassembly easier I cut a slot in the motor mount with a dremel tool so I could reinstall the motor without disconnecting a lot of wiring.  The motor runs just fine now but  I still have other problems with the radio.  For what its worth.
