Comments received from my investigation on status of R-1051( )/URR Receivers...
The AN/WRC-1( ) family of equipments including the T-827( )/URT are alive and almost well. Most of the older amphibs still have AN/URT-23( ) and AN/WRC-1( ) transmit only, i.e in some cases the AN/URT-24( ). The R-1051( )/URR is gone in favor of the R-2368A/UR receiver. AN/URT-23( )s are also on the early flights of the DDG-51 and also FFG's. A for AN/WRC-1( ) family equipments. (There are probably still several hundred AN/URT-23 variants on older platforms, reserve ships and decomms, as well as in foreign navies, which the USN should still be supporting, and also some number of AN/URT-24 (or AN/WRC-1( ) Transmitter Only) variants.
(We expect all R-1051( )/URR receivers should have been removed and replaced with R-2368( )/URR or HFRG receivers by this time.)
