Anybody got a scan of the 100CPS Synthesizer schematic in the six pack?
I have a straight 1051 (no suffix) and it needs a six pack with a 500 CPS
synth but it came with a six pack for a B model with a 100 CPS synth. I just
learned the long way they are not compatible. To make a long story short I
was getting an incredible amount of noise from the receiver that would not
quite with a signal applied. I started tracing and discovered the 100KHz
injection was where the noise was coming from. Further tracing revealed that
one of the inputs to the 100KHZ Synth is from the 500 CPS synth, which was
not present. Further investigation revealed that the non B 500 CPS Vernier
circuit is not compatible with the B and beyond 100 HZ steps Vernier
circuit. I am now going to attempt to try and make the 100CPS synth work in
the non B 1051 by supplying what the 100 CPS synth needs just to produce
000, 500, and Vernier outputs. I am attempting this because I don't know of
any sources of non B six packs or 500cps synthesizer so if I want an
operational R-1051 I'm gona have to make this one work.
However, I do not have a B techmanual, I can only find the non B tech manual
on the internet. So if someone could be so kind as to send me a scan of just
the 100cps synth I think I can get this thing to work with a B and beyond
six pack. Of course if someone has a spare 500cps synth or a non B six pack
that could work to. I could even trade my B model six pack or 100 cps synth
for your non B six pack or 500cps synth. You send me yours and I'll send you
mine.
Thanks in advanced for any help.
